Zawji — Browser Extension for Notifications

The Zawji browser extension is a companion tool for the Zawji Islamic platform for finding a partner. The extension provides desktop notifications about new matches and unread messages. It does not replace or duplicate the main platform's functionality.

The extension stores only the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local):
All data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any third party.
The extension communicates only with the official Zawji servers at zawji.app. It periodically sends requests to retrieve your notification counts. No data is sent to any other servers or third-party services.
The extension requires the following minimal permissions:
The extension does not access your browsing history, tabs, bookmarks, or any other browser data.
We do not collect, share, or sell any personal data through this extension. Your authentication token and notification data remain exclusively on your device.
The extension does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party SDKs.
You can delete all stored data at any time by:
Upon logout or uninstallation, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
The Zawji platform and this extension are intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
